Pitching a story or product sample
But first here are a few disclosures about how GadgetsAndGifts4U does business:
• Submitting a product idea for my consideration is simple and it’s year long. Just send me, via e-mail a detailed press release along with a Hi-Res jpg (300 dpi) of the product directly to rbassave@mindspring.com.
• As you might imagine, I receive hundreds of new product press releases. Be assured I do read them all and respond as quickly as possible. Please include the suggested retail price of your product and the availability date, manufacturer’s website address, if the product is currently available, and where the product can be purchased both in the store and/or online.
• Once I decide what to review, I then borrow evaluation products from these companies in order to review it for GadgetsAndGifts4U. When done, I’ll return it all or destroy it or donate it to charity if requested by the manufacturer. (Exceptions: software and very inexpensive items that manufacturers don’t want back.) Shipping address information is available upon request. Please include return product shipping information.
• At no time companies who advertise on GadgetAndGifts4U receive any special treatment in editorial coverage; those who don’t advertise aren’t penalized in any way. In my 25+ years in this business, I have never changed so much as a syllable to curry favor with an advertiser or potential advertiser and I never will.
