Pioneer’s three Blu-ray players deliver

Pioneer’s three brand new Blu-ray players are in stores at last. The sleek black units initially featured at CES 2009,  are making a splash as only Pioneer products can.

The units include the Elite BDP-23FD, which has a Precision Quartz Lock System and capacitors to please audiophiles. Some other features include BD Live Support, 7.1-channel audio, RS-232 support and 48-bit color.

Next is the BDP-320, which also has PQLS, BD Live support, 48-bit color and high quality, but lacks the design of the Elite. The BDP-120 has 36-bit color, USB storage and a 1GB external hard drive. It does not have PQLS.

For my money it’s Elite BDP-23FD, it’s the truest way to enjoy what Blue-ray offers.

All three are available for $599, $399 and $299, respectively.

Mobile Script Phone uses Nano skin for power

I love concept products that remind me of the devices we see in sci-fi movies and some how lead to a real product down the road.

The other day, I got this email about a post on Yanko that I would really like. So here a short breakdown for you, and I hope you like it as much I did.

Listen, Battery Bunny, one day you might out of business.

The Mobile Script Concept Phone doesn’t need no stinkin’ batteries. It’s a concept device from designer Aleksandr Mukomelov that features Internet browsing, working on-the-go, games and communications. An iphone   lover could only wish Apple was this inventive, plus it has no batteries.

It has two touch screens, one in a traditional candy bar style format, the other a flexible OLED that stiffens with a low voltage charge when you unfurl it. This layout enables maximum real estate when watching movies or editing documents when you need it.

It’s covered in a photo sensitive nano material that will harness solar power, hence the lack of batteries.
